Yelp is now displaying whether or not restaurants, bars, and other businesses are properly following COVID-19 guidelines. Just like how users can give feedback like if a place is good for kids, users can now weigh in on the health and safety measures like if social distancing is enforced or if staff wears masks. You'll be able to see the feedback on businesses Yelp pages in the COVID-19 section. Users will be able to provide their feedback by answering pop-up surveys or by clicking “Edit” next to the COVID-19 section on a business’s page. The information will only be displayed if there's an adequate number of user responses that reach a consensus over the past 28 days. If the majority of responses indicate that a COVID-19 protocols are being enforced, then there will be a green check mark. If the responses are mixed or negative, then there will be an orange question mark.
