Join WATTS for the Coldest Night of the Year
Saturday, February 28 • 4:00–6:30 PM
Downtown Winchester
WATTS (Winchester Area Temporary Transitional Shelter) is gearing up for our annual Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) walk — a winterrific, family‑friendly fundraising event that brings our community together in support of neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Last year, more than 600 walkers bundled up and took to the streets of downtown Winchester, stepping outside the warmth of home for one evening to walk in solidarity with the guests we serve. Thanks to this incredible community, Winchester has been the second‑largest CNOY event in the entire United States for three years running. This year, over 70 cities across the U.S. — and even more across Canada — will be walking with us.
Be Part of Our Biggest Year Yet
Our goal for 2026 is to welcome over 1,000 walkers, making this our largest event ever. We’d love for you to join us — whether as a participant, volunteer, team captain, or media sponsor.
Event Schedule
4:00 PM – Walker check‑in begins at Braddock Street United Methodist Church5:00 PM – Walk kicks off following brief pep talks from our speakers, including Lauryn Ricketts of NBC Universal and a former WATTS guest After the Walk – Enjoy a free community “soup kitchen” featuring delicious soups from local favorite Billy Sous
Walk With Us — It’s Free to Register
Registration is completely free. Participants who choose to fundraise help support WATTS’ mission by inviting friends, family, and colleagues to donate in honor of their walk.
If you’re unable to attend in an official capacity, forming a team or helping spread the word on air or online makes a meaningful difference.
