For some people, looking good will always be their biggest goal, but new research suggests that feeling good on the inside is becoming more important to a lot of us. According to a new survey, 77% of people now prioritize what feels good over what makes them look good.
The poll of 2-thousand adults looks at which health approaches and habits really make a difference and finds:
- Nearly a third (30%) have adopted a more mindful health approach this year, as a result of being more aware of bodily cues, mental processes and emotional responses.
- More than a quarter say they’ve started taking their inner health seriously in the last year.
- People do an average of five “feel-good” habits every day to build long-term wellness both inside and out.
- Overall, 86% believe their emotional and physical health are deeply connected and 77% believe their gut health directly affects how they feel emotionally.
- Now some want to give up habits they know make them feel worse in the long run, like mindless snacking while watching TV (28%), staying up late for no reason (27%) and eating ultra-processed foods (26%).
- To help feel like their best selves, nearly half (45%) like to take a nap, while others listen to music (30%), go for a walk (29%) or just take a minute to themselves (24%).
