The Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach is hosting its first adult-only overnight sleepover on June 21st from 8:30 pm to 6:30 am the next day. For $125 per person, guests 21 and older can sleep near the aquarium’s exhibits, like the 70,000-gallon Red Sea Tunnel, and enjoy activities such as crafts, a scavenger hunt, and a movie screening. The event includes dinner, a late-night snack, and breakfast, with beer and wine available for purchase.
Attendees must bring their own sleeping bags and air mattresses. The aquarium, a popular spot with nearly 593,000 visitors from July 2022 to June 2023, is calling this a unique way to experience marine life after hours. Space is limited, and registration is required. This follows the aquarium’s recent $28.9 million South Building renovation.
