Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, so empty out your medicine cabinets. Take Back Day is when the DEA sponsors sites across the country for disposal of unused prescription drugs. The goal is to keep them from being flushed and contaminating the water supply or ending up in the wrong hands. Expired meds can lose their efficacy and people can get confused about what they’re supposed to be taking if old meds are in the cabinet. Collection sites will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. More information is available online at www.dea.gov/takebackday.
