Two women have a special tradition that’s 81 years strong and still going: sending the same birthday card to one another. Pat DeReamer, who turned 95 on Tuesday, says the tradition began on her 14th birthday, when her friend Mary Wheaton gave her a birthday card. DeReamer added her own signature to the card and returned it to Wheaton for her birthday in May. The women were added to the Guinness World Record books for the longest greetings card exchange on the 60th anniversary of their tradition. The card will be sent back to Mary next month.
