Starbucks Is Making Changes To Its Mobile Ordering System

In an effort to improve the ordering experience for customers and conditions for its workers, Starbucks is making some notable changes to its mobile ordering system, including reducing the maximum number of items per order from 15 to 12 and removing certain customization options like adding splashes of milk to Refreshers. The coffee giant's CEO Brian Niccol is pushing for a return to "community coffeehouse roots" while also addressing long-standing concerns from baristas about overwhelming mobile orders and understaffing. While some baristas welcome these changes as a step in the right direction, others are skeptical, pointing out that customers can still place multiple back-to-back orders to get around the new limit.
