Shenandoah, Page & Hardy County Fires

Neighbors helping neighbors, it's what we're seeing after so many wildfires broke out in the area this week. A huge thank you to the brave firefighters, first responders, linemen and volunteers.

Fires are still burning in Hardy, Shenandoah, and Page counties.

There are 4 fires in Hardy County with Waites Run being the biggest fire. Thousands of acres have burned.

Page county has been hit very hard too.

4 large fires are burning in Page and at least 10-20 homes have burned.

Crews did report good progress yesterday.

In Shenandoah County two fires are contained and now resources have turned to the New Market Gap fire which crossed into Shenandoah County yesterday.

A lot of people have been asking about donations for crews working the fires. Local departments say they have enough food and drinks thanks to your generosity, but our volunteer fire departments are in need of donations of fuel cards and money to assist.

Casco Plumbing is accepting donations for those affected by the fire. (water, non-perishable food items, blankets, clothes, jackets) thru today at 3pm. You can donate at 43 West Jubal Early Drive in Winchester. Those supplies will then be delivered to the local fire station and delivered to the victims.
