Olivia Newton-John lost her battle with cancer Monday, and now her good friend and “Grease" co-star Didi Conn is sharing a bit about her final days.
During an interview with “Good Morning America” Didi was asked if they were still in touch and she said they had recently spoken, and Olivia told her she “wasn’t walking anymore and that she had full-time care.”
But, Didi noted, “Her husband, John, and her daughter, Chloe, were there all the time and she told me that they were just so hopelessly devoted.”
Didi said Olivia had a “big heart” and noted she was someone who “cared so much for everybody.”
Stockard Channing, who played Rizzo in “Grease,” also paid tribute to her co-star. “I don't know if I've known a lovelier human being,” she tells People. “Olivia was the essence of summer – her sunniness, her warmth and her grace are what always come to mind when I think of her,” adding, “I will miss her enormously.”
